Once again, against the odds, JJ The Jet Plane wowed the racing industry with his effortless win, regaining his MERCURY SPRINT crown on Sunday 18 July 2010 at Clairwood Park in KwaZulu Natal.

As Lucky had mentioned to reporters JJ had had a hiccup in his training prior to Sundays race and Lucky was not 100% sure that JJ would be able to pull this victory off.

Tensions were high at races, as they always are for a Feature race never mind a Group 1 and along with all the publicity it just adds more spice!!  

Jumping well from the 1200m, JJ and Pierre “Striker” Strydom wents straight to the front. At the 400m “Striker” shifted gear and JJ slowly took off to launch himself into a clear lead from his contenders! It was race over at the 200m mark as JJ extended his lead to 5,5 lengths!

JJ received a standing ovation from the fellow race-goers in the Panoramic Room where they witnessed JJ The Jet Plane winning the 2010 Mercury Sprint for the second time in his racing career.
WHERE TO FROM HERE???
After much discussion and weighing up the options of another possible international campaign, the JJ Team have decided that JJ will remain on SA soil and continue to race here... “We have just got our boy back with us and we will now enjoy him back in SA”
